300 New Names Added to the Wall of Memory and Truth in Parque Cuscatlan
16 years after the end of El Salvador's bloody civil war, 300 innocent victims of that conflict were finally given the honor they deserve in March of 2008. Their names were added to the wall of Memory and Truth in the Parque Cuscatlan in San Salvador. This is a monument that bears the names of roughly 35,000 civilian non combatants who were killed in the conflict. In Kansas City, these individuals were honored in the form of 300 crosses, each hand carved and bearing the names of these martyrs.
