Dear Friends of the people of Honduras,

We wish to share an invitation from Bertha Zuniga of COPINH to celebrate the life of Berta Caceres, Juan Lopez, and all the martyrs.

You are invited!

We are excited to announce a SHARE delegation to Honduras, Feb. 28-March 10, 2025. This will be a comprehensive delegation beginning in La Esperanza where Berta Caceres was born and was assassinated 9 years ago.  We will commemorate her anniversary, alongside her compañeras and compañeros of the organization COPINH.  We will also commemorate with them the most recent environmental martyr in Honduras, Juan Lopez of Tocoa.

Beyond these commemorations, our delegation will include:
  • Honoring the life of Juan Lopez and spending time in the Bajo Aguan to meet with environmental defenders and those working to recuperate their land.
  • Meeting with The Women’s Forum for International Women’s Day, March 8th.
  • Accompanying the people during their primary election process on March 9th.
  • March 24 is the anniversary of the Monseñor Oscar Romero of El Salvador.

We cannot think of a better way to follow his example and to help fulfill his legacy than to accompany the Honduran people at this very fragile time for the majority poor and oppressed.

For more information and to let us know of your interest in joining and helping organize this delegation, please contact Mary Anne Perrone [email protected], Amy Argenal [email protected] or Jose Artiga [email protected] telephone +1 510 848 8487. Please apply here:

Berta vive, Juan vive, la lucha sigue.
