Dear friend of the people of Honduras,

We invite you to be part of the training of young popular photographers to document the struggle in Honduras.

We are pleased to submit for your consideration the attached project proposal for Ojos De Agua (Eyes of Water), a year-long documentary and community engagement initiative proposed to conclude in June 2027.

The project combines photography, education, and community partnership to document the lived experiences of families in the Tocoa region of Honduras.  These communities are facing ongoing challenges related to water contamination, environmental degradation, and access to clean water.

A defining feature of the project is the establishment of a Community Photo Fellowship and a Photo Documentary that tell the stories through images and personal narratives.

Through your kind donation of a camera kit, photo technology, and financial support, young photographers will create a lasting visual archive and also develop valuable creative and technical skills.

We are working toward a public photographic exhibition that will be submitted to the Belfast (in Ireland) Photo Festival and Photography Ethics Symposium in June 2027.

We are looking for 12 donations of $165 each to purchase a camera kit (see attached). A donation of any size is appreciated. Please make a check to SHARE and mail it to 2425 College Ave. Berkeley CA. 94704 or online at share-elsalvador.org (general) or via Zelle at 510 848 8487.

Please contact us with any questions or leads at jose@share-elsalvador, telephone 510 848 8487or [email protected] telephone 217 691 7045

In appreciation and solidarity,

Jose Artiga                                                           Peter Avery
