Sowing Seeds of Hope
Women for the Defense of Food, Land, Water and Seed

Picture
Dear Friends of the solidarity,

The Association of Communities for the Development of Chalatenango - CCR has been working for the empowerment of the women of Chalatenango since 2008, strengthening local committees and training on gender issues, women's rights, and food sovereignty.

We are working with more than 300 women members of the Women's Associations of the department of Chalatenango in organic production processes to guarantee an improvement in the economy and the quality of life of women and their families. As a result of these processes, women have trained in sustainable agriculture with a focus on agroecology.

With the campaign Women Sowing Seeds of Hope, we seek to continue supporting organized women in Chalatenango in the different processes they carry out in their communities. To contribute to the development of family sustainability based on the production that guarantees healthy and sustainable food, also the care of water, land, and native seeds.

With seeds of hope, we want to benefit more than 300 women from the communities, so we are requesting your contribution to the purchase of two kits for organic production.  The first kit cost of $120.00, which includes a workshop, native seeds, and essential agricultural tools, and the second kit of $85.00 includes native seeds and essential agricultural tools. A donation of any amount is welcomed to support organized women.

CCR, together with the SHARE Foundation invites you as our solidarity friend to accompany this path of sowing seeds of hope and harvesting healthy food for a future of sustainable agriculture in the organized communities of Chalatenango.

 With our abrazo solidario,

Jose Gilberto Orellana                                              José Artiga
